<@omgbbqove> When I get to update the Shiva pages with the new screenshots and final iterations of the designs. At the moment, seeing to it that everything gets done in Shiva to get out on the 17th is the highest priority
<@omgbbqove> So it will happen over the next week. The test center lists pretty much what will get in and what wont, it's marked as delayed
<@omgbbqove> I'll add some of the later comers to there, mostly corporation features tho.
<Northrend> I created a petition in the forums for the Amarrian Prophecy's graphic to be revised since I thought it looked like a wild turkey in space. It has since been
signed by 5 pages of eve players. Is CCP planning on changing the graphics e.g to the one suggested in the thread.

<@omgbbqove> Usually the ones that like don't do a petition to say "omg it r0x" altho the harbinger (parrot) of death is getting a review as are all the destroyer and battlecruiser models
<@omgbbqove> Whether the model itself changes significantly on the Prophecy remains to be seen. These update textures/models probably won

<@omgbbqove> Yes, we're still refining the UI, so more text readouts will be available for those who want it.
<@omgbbqove> which ones and where they are remains to be designed
<Paigan> Are there chances for the future that there will be additional means of countering missiles, apart from using another missile launcher for defenders? (Smartbomb are not really a primary missile defense system, especially with the mouse-float-on-missiles feature disabled). For example something like point defense weapons or maybe even point defense drones (which could orbit around a target and fire at any enemy missile in range).

<@omgbbqove> Yes, in the future we're going to add more specific missile defense systems, in fact we already have a preliminary design for a point defense system
<@omgbbqove> But it hasn't gotten so far to get an implementation date yet, so no promises there.
<various players> What is the status of the character sheet and when will it return?

<@omgbbqove> Well, the overwhelming popularity is causing us to shut it down, so it will get back up.
<@omgbbqove> We haven't been able to focus the resources on it but we already have an plan that we'll execute after launch
<@omgbbqove> it's both refining the application but also making a bigger hardware infrastructure around web applications, such as the character sheet
<@omgbbqove> we foresee that we can distribute tons of other interesting information and compared to how many applications use the character sheet and other sporadically released data
<@omgbbqove> such as the map and the agent information, we're looking into a more robus infrastructure that will A) allow us to handle the load from all the applications and B) allow us to expand to new and amazing stuff
<@omgbbqove> We're really sorry for having to have it down, but it will be fixed as soon as we have the resources for it
<Devtron> I have been with the game since beta ( round two years now ) and one of the things I have been missing is a player map to see who controls what, I know many people want it, and most use the unofficial map on the eve online forums. Is there a plan to implement such a feature in the game?

<@omgbbqove> The reason we don't have an "official" map is because we have no criteria to determina who rightfully owns which part of space
<@omgbbqove> but with the territory control in Shiva where you claim systems via Starbases we are already displaying the player sovereignty in the client, both on the map and in the upper left corner under the current system name
<@omgbbqove> this enables us to do a map on EVE Insider which is updated daily on who controls what systems

<JimFishkins> Do you plan to allow building from corp hangar BPOs using personal minerals into personal hangars and/or using personal BPOs in corp lab slots?

<@omgbbqove> It's been requested a number of times to expand the slot usage options, but we didn't do any changes to them in Exodus. An overhaul is planned and expect this to be fully taken into consideration when we do so

<@omgbbqove> It's just a question of when, which I can't give you an answer to atm ;)

<@omgbbqove> It will come later. We're going to do "limited rewards" in the RP system in some way or another. How we do it, whether we use the RP's or the new Agent Offer system will be determined on the integration complexity
<@omgbbqove> but we want to reward those that work hard for research agents and also allow people that want to work harder and focus their research the opportunity to do so

<Hachon> Is the EXODUS deployment date absolute or are you going to move it further out?

<@omgbbqove> It's pretty much absolute. We are 99% in code freeze, only wrapping up the things that we need to finish
<@omgbbqove> So we're getting all the stuff on to Sisi for testing these last 2 weeks.
<@omgbbqove> We're pretty confident that we'll be ready, it's all on the shoulders of the creation people doing the doing new agent missions, creating Complexes, balancing the Starbase structures and new ships
<@omgbbqove> We haven't released any of the Complexes to Singularity, The Contraband and Agent Offers have just been opened up on some factions
<@omgbbqove> and we're integrating Complexes into agent missions.
<[STC]Kipkruide> Have you fixed the skill requirements for mining barges yet, if so, what are they?

<@omgbbqove> The barges do not require a racial ship skill, they are an extension on the mining related skills
<@omgbbqove> they should be close to their final versions in the next update to Singularity
<xmasteR> Is there hope for ingame avatar envoirement for you customers who are in need for social envoirement with their fellow players? (EnB)

<@omgbbqove> Short version is no. Long version is, it would be a totally new game so I don't think we would even consider it until 2013

<@omgbbqove> When we have sorted out some of the technical aspects of it. We have it designed and how we want to implement it. At this point in time I wouldn't set a date since I have absolutely no idea when we can assign resources back to doing new stuff after the Exodus launch
<@omgbbqove> we have the whole company focused the next months on fixing bugs on Tranquility. But it's something we really want to do, hence we scheduled it for Shiva.
<TheEnslaver> What will the next phase of the Caldari Championships entail, and when do you expect it to start? What prizes are planned for the Caldari Championships?

<@omgbbqove> Boosters, Gallente chicks and Rock'n'roll
<@omgbbqove> Besides that we're gonna continue racing. It's scheduled for this month afaik, the schedule might get slipped due to the delayed release of Exodus
<@omgbbqove> regarding rewards, we'll have some nice shippie thingies to reward the victors with

<Hachon> POS' favor the defender. It also seems that anything within the sphere of it's shields is completely safe from attack. Do we "control" the defenses or are they on auto? and do the sentry guns have optimal ranges?

<@omgbbqove> Starbases heavily favor the defender and that's intentional. The fact that they are completely safe from attack is also intentional and part of what makes it heavily in favor for the defender.
<@omgbbqove> The starbase defense targeting code has been updated about 5 times since we started doing the turrets
<@omgbbqove> and it is getting rather advanced, but since it is computer controlled and not yet pilot controlled, there are bound to be loopholes
<@omgbbqove> so we're doing stresstesting on those and making all the defensive structures valuable and useful in their own fields
<@omgbbqove> making them all pilot controlled is something we'd like to do down the road but doing we want to do it so that it makes a difference
<@omgbbqove> oh - and yes, they do have optimal ranges ;D
<Orestes> Q: System Scanning. Have you finalised the designs yet and if so, how will it work?

<@omgbbqove> Yes, it's one of the things not frozen yet. We need this in, but we have done a number of redesigns of this

<@omgbbqove> but we are implementing the final version. currently it's probe based, so you drop probes so that you can do scans whether the target has moved or not

<@omgbbqove> Contracts, by far.
<@omgbbqove> it's going to revolutionize many aspects of the game
<@omgbbqove> both in helping corporations to do formal "missions" for their corp members
<@omgbbqove> so the CEO and Directors can when they are online assign various tasks through the contract system and limit those to the corp, person (or even alliance)
<@omgbbqove> and when the corp members come online, they can take the "missions" from there
<@omgbbqove> also the wealth of possibilites with assembled ships, bidding for ship contracts and well ... endless possibilities
<@omgbbqove> understandably, it's similarly complex at the backend, so we decided to delay it instead of doing a poor job at it
<NoNamium> Are there plans to make a stock-market for corp-shares? and if so when can we expect this?

<@omgbbqove> We have had plans for years on that, but the more we want it and look into it the more problems arise
<@omgbbqove> mainly it's locking down the resources which the buyers of the stocks are buying (he's buying a share in the people and the assets)
<@omgbbqove> so we have to prevent IPO's where the corp then splits with the cash, assets and players
<@omgbbqove> second but probably more important, is that corporations need to have a solid reason for paying dividends to the owners of the stock
<@omgbbqove> there is now value in stocks unless the owner actually gets a dividend payout from the corporation or is able to sell the stock based on the fact that the buyer will get a dividend payout
<@omgbbqove> so when these two main problems are solved, we can open a stock market
<@omgbbqove> incidentally, in Exodus, we are starting lockdown of resources, such as blueprints
<@omgbbqove> so we have already started preparations
<|bport> All the things that were droped from EXODUS, when do you plan to add them back?

<@omgbbqove> When we have resources to assign back to new stuff. That depends on how the Exodus launch goes, how big a trail of bugs
<@omgbbqove> we have to clean up. Our release plan of patches and expansion for the 2005 hasn't been finalized yet, we're going to wait a couple of months before laying down or major miletones

<Tank-CEO> Question, Ship insurance. You have set a default of 40% insurance FREE insurance to all ships that are not insured manually. Now as a pirate, I beleive that this is fair to a certain extent. But I do beleive a new kind of way is needed. For example, battleships do not need that default insurance, if you cant afford a measly 3-5 mill dollar insurance, you shouldnt be in a battleship.

<@kieron> So my idea is that frigates will have a free default 40% insurance, Cruisers - 25% free default insurance, Battleships will have no free default insurance. This is just my opinion and thoughts on this matter and I am curious as to what your thoughts and opinions are on this matter.
<@omgbbqove> A valid point, but opinions differ so wildly on insurance, how high %, who should get it and who shouldn't exactly because the cases where you need them and how much you need them differ
<@omgbbqove> I too believe that somebody that owns a battleship should be able to afford insurance, but sadly the majority of the cases aren't so
<@omgbbqove> heck, somebody that buys a cruiser shouldn't vest all his resources in getting one either
<@omgbbqove> but the playstyle of people don't work that way, we've tried all variations from absolutely no insurance, to allowing insurance, to having the minimal 40% by default and this one seems to be the best versio so far
<@omgbbqove> of course it has worse effects in the long term, but not as bad as the other options are
<@omgbbqove> in fact, based on the statistics and trending we saw less people quit the game due to ship loss now than before. This of course benefits us as much as the players since we all need more players on tranquility to have more fun :D
<K_Engle> speaking of Eve Radio... Is it possible to have the internal media player support URL's for more varied listening?

<@omgbbqove> uhm, don't think that one is for us, is it? :)

<adlib> What's after EXODUS? What are plans when all of 'this' is over?

<@omgbbqove> We're going to map out 2005 after we have cleaned up the Exodus release. I'd say the current hilights - which we have been pondering about - is a major patch (besides the montly minor patches) in addition to an expansion
<@omgbbqove> but this can all change, we have so many things we want to do and so little time.
<@omgbbqove> Kali is our next big focus, and we're planning some big stuff for it
<Rhaegar> The fanfest was awesome, I had a blast, as did the people who I was hanging out with. Are there plans for a similar event next year?

<@omgbbqove> Yes, the official fanfest will be a yearly event. Next time we're going to have it planned well away from a major expansion release
<@omgbbqove> so we can give it more focus. It was totally awesome to meet you all (altho some are rather vague if you met after the Quafe drinks, you know why)

<@omgbbqove> I assume you are referring to the Exodus client, we're still changing the coloring and displaying of those states
<@omgbbqove> which we are coordinating with the new auto scanner, known as the Overview ingame

<@omgbbqove> Yup, totally. We aim to ne... uhm, overhaul EW and Missiles so we can get the rest of the TL2 modules for them out. Same goes for Drones, if we decided to not change them we'll release them TL2 of them shortly after Exodus release
<@omgbbqove> the lessening of the cost really depends on the overhaul, but it's one of the points we're looking into

<@omgbbqove> No, looks like it won't. We didn't want to take the chance of breaking the whole accounting system at this point in time, so we'll bre... add it in an more isolated update later one
<_MindLink_> Question: Now with Exodus and all the POS upcoming, are there any plans to change the map soon? Because currently it displays way too much data. Positions of POS in space will be given away quite easily by things like the number of pilots currently in space among others. Maybe it would be an option to show these stats only to corps who own a pos in that system?

<@omgbbqove> We're still looking at what we should do regarding the map information. We just recently updated it a bit with a new pathfinder and displaying the alliances that own the systems
<@omgbbqove> but for those that want to remain unseen, we're looking into a number of options. One the most extreme, where we would blank out pilots in space in 0.0
<@omgbbqove> this has been discussed before and I'm quite fond of it but it has a number of drawbacks of course
<@omgbbqove> maybe a structure that blankets out "pilots in space" could be interesting, not only from a Starbase perspective but also from a fleet battle perspective
